2026 Annual Meeting

Dear Artists of Lake Chapala,

 

We have some important business ahead at our Annual Meeting on Nov 2,2026.

 

The Meeting will take place at the Neill James Sala at LCS, Nov 2 at 11 a.m.

If you are not able to attend in-person, you will still be able to vote on the issues before us remotely.  Please watch your email for voting information on Nov 2.

 

There are two important issues concerning the governance of ALC before us:

 

1. The acceptance of modifications to our bylaws, proposed by the Bylaws Committee.  Please Review this document that summarized the proposed changes:

We will have time during the October Membership Meeting to address any questions or concerns you may have about the bylaws. 

 

2. The election of officers.  Any member in good standing is eligible to run for office.  To declare your candidacy, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/GsigL73KHXurH2d88

 

The deadline to complete the form is Oct 26, 2026.  In addition there is a lot of information about the positions, their responsibilities, and their terms of office in the form (scroll to the bottom).  Candidates will be invited to speak at the annual meeting in Nov.

 

 

The election will be open to all members.  In-person voting will take place at the annual meeting. Remote voting will be via a google form from Nov 2 - 30.  Election results will be announced on Dec 7, 2026 and new officers will assume their responsibilities at the close of the Dec 7 meeting.

 

We invite any members to assist with auditing the election.  Just let any board member know that you would like to volunteer and we'll include you in vote counting and monitoring the remote voting process.
