Synthia David had an idea to create Whimsical Bespoke Lampshades from her love of Silk Batik Painting. Fabricating her artwork into ArtLites, a perfect blend of Silk Art and beautiful functional ambient lighting for interior decor.

After a year of trial & error, Synthia developed her 25 step process to create eye catching, unique Original shades. Each ArtLite is fused with her joyful energy to bring love and light into your environment.

Synthia currently lives in Chapala, Jalisco MX with her loving, supportive husband and their yorkie, Taco.

She learned techniques for Silk Batik Painting at Mendocino Art Center in California.

Synthia continued developing her skills over the years at her Bali, Indonesia studio.  Now she creates each Silk Batik Lampshade by hand in her beautiful  home studio.
